Microsoft Boss Testifies in Musk versus Altman Trial
Microsoft boss Satya Nadella took the stand in the Musk v. Altman trial.
Elon Musk sued OpenAI and named Microsoft as a defendant. Nadella said Musk never raised concerns about Microsoft's investment in OpenAI.
In 2023 OpenAI's board tried to remove Sam Altman as its leader. Nadella called that attempt "amateur city" and backed Altman during the crisis.
OpenAI president Greg Brockman also testified before Nadella. Then OpenAI cofounder Ilya Sutskever testified in the trial's third week.
Sutskever said he holds a $7 billion stake in OpenAI. Sam Altman is set to testify later this week. The trial has revealed details about OpenAI's history as a company.
Klear Note — Elon Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but left its board. Microsoft invested billions in OpenAI to use its technology. Musk claims OpenAI broke its original non-profit mission.
