Model Scout Linked to Epstein Found Dead in France
Daniel Siad was found dead at his home near Paris on Monday. He was 69 years old.
Siad was a model scout who repeatedly introduced young women to Jeffrey Epstein. His name appeared in more than 1,000 documents in the Epstein files.
His name showed up thousands of times overall. Siad had faced allegations of rape and trafficking in France.
He was reportedly under investigation by prosecutors who focus on human trafficking. But his lawyer said Siad was never formally placed under investigation.
The lawyer said Siad died of a heart attack. The exact cause of death is still unclear pending an autopsy.
Siad had denied doing anything wrong. He said he did not know about the threat Epstein posed.
In a recent interview with CNN he said two women he sent to Epstein were not harmed. Siad is the second man linked to Epstein to die in France.
Modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel faced similar allegations. Brunel was found dead in his French prison cell in 2022.
