Mosque Shooter Was Known to Police Before Attack

Two shooters attacked a mosque in San Diego, California on Monday. Three people were killed.

The shooters were Caleb Vazquez and 17-year-old Cain Lee Clark. Both held white supremacist views.

Reports say the two met online before meeting in person. They shared extreme views with each other.

Police had flagged Vazquez before the attack. A year earlier local officials took guns from Vazquez's father.

They acted due to concern over the teen's views on mass shooters and Nazism. The FBI was also warned about Vazquez.

Sources say Vazquez was listed on an FBI alert system in 2025. That system lets federal and local agencies share warnings about possible threats.
