Munich's 191st Oktoberfest Opens With Mayor's Keg Tap

Oktoberfest opened in Munich, Germany on Saturday. Mayor Dominik Krause tapped the first beer keg.

This happened at noon in the Schottenhamel tent. It was Krause's first time performing the tapping.

The ceremony marked the official start of the festival. This year marks the festival's 191st edition.

The festival runs through October 4. After the ceremony thousands of visitors entered the grounds.
