NASA Shares New Earthset Photo
NASA released a photo of Earth dipping below the moon's horizon. The Artemis II crew captured it on Monday.
This was a record-setting lunar flyby. Astronauts described strong emotions while passing over the moon.
They photographed impact craters, cracks, and ridges on the lunar surface. The crew also captured images of a solar eclipse.
This Earthset photo comes 58 years after Apollo 8's Earthrise image. The Artemis II crew has begun their journey home.
Klear Note — Artemis II is NASA's crewed moon mission. Earthrise was Apollo 8's famous 1968 photo of Earth from the moon.
