Netanyahu and Zelenskyy to Attend Graham Funeral in Washington
Funeral ceremonies for Senator Lindsey Graham begin in Washington on Tuesday. Graham was a Republican senator from South Carolina.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will attend the services. The Capitol ceremony and the National Cathedral funeral service will be private.
Both events will be livestreamed for the public. Netanyahu and Zelenskyy will also meet President Trump at the White House.
That meeting is planned during the funeral ceremonies. Senators reportedly plan to honor Graham by moving forward a Russian sanctions package.
A procedural vote on the package is expected the same day. Zelenskyy is also expected to meet senators in the evening reports say.
The visits by Netanyahu and Zelenskyy come amid other world issues. These include the Iran military campaign and concerns over Patriot missile supplies for Ukraine.
A public funeral and procession for Graham will be held in South Carolina the next day. That will take place on Wednesday.
