News Outlets Ask US Court to Block White House Ban
CNN, MS NOW and Politico asked a US court for help. They want the court to block President Trump's White House ban.
The ban stops them from entering the White House. They want the block to last until their case ends.
The outlets said Trump's administration kept enforcing the ban unevenly. This happened despite a judge's earlier restraining order.
The outlets had sued over the ban about a week earlier. A temporary order did not fully settle access to the press pool.
CNN was later excluded from an Air Force One trip. Attorney General Todd Blanche defended that exclusion.
He cited presidential discretion and concerns about misinformation. Judge Timothy Kelly questioned whether national security caused the ban.
Klear Note — A restraining order temporarily limits actions while a court case proceeds.
