North Korean Women's Soccer Team Visits South Korea
A North Korean women's soccer team arrived in South Korea on Sunday. This is the first visit by North Korean athletes to South Korea in eight years.
The team came to play in a soccer tournament. The group includes 27 players and 12 staff members.
They flew in from China and landed at Incheon airport. The North Korean team is called Naegohyang FC.
They will play South Korean team Suwon FC Women on Wednesday. The match is a semi-final of the AFC Women's Champions League. It will be held in Suwon, South Korea.
Klear Note — The AFC Women's Champions League is Asia's top women's soccer competition. Athletic exchanges between North and South Korea are rare due to tensions between the countries.
