Obama Opens Presidential Center in Chicago
Barack Obama opened his presidential center in Chicago on Thursday. The $850 million campus sits in Jackson Park on the city's South Side.
Three former presidents attended the ceremony. Joe Biden, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton were all there.
Heads of state and celebrities also came. Obama called for the defense of democracy at the event.
He said the center shows how precious democracy is. President Trump was not invited.
Stevie Wonder closed the celebration. The center opens to the public on Friday June 19.
