Orbán Blocks 90 Billion Euro Ukraine Loan
Hungary's leader Viktor Orbán blocked a 90-billion-euro loan to Ukraine. European Union leaders agreed to this loan in December.
Orbán stopped it last month. European Union leaders recently pushed him to lift the block.
Orbán said a dispute over a war-damaged pipeline is the reason. European Union leaders say he is blocking aid to win votes.
Elections happen next month in Hungary. Orbán has friendly ties with Russia and has clashed with Ukraine's President Zelenskyy.
Klear Note — The EU is a group of 27 European countries that work together. Hungary is one member. The EU loan helps Ukraine rebuild after Russia's invasion.
