Parcel Bomb Hurts Ukrainian Family in Monaco
A bomb went off at a building in Monaco on Monday evening. It happened around 9 p.m. near the French border.
Three members of a Ukrainian family were hurt. Two of them are in a serious condition.
Security camera footage shows a man leaving a backpack in the building lobby. Police are searching for a man suspected of setting off the bomb.
The bomb was packed with bolts and metal shot. The suspect fled on foot toward Beausoleil in France.
Monaco's top government official Christophe Mirmand said it was very likely an attack. He said this is the first such attack ever in Monaco. Monaco activated its emergency response plan and called in extra fire service help.
