Paul Pelosi Referred for Hit-and-Run Charge
Paul Pelosi is the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He was involved in a hit-and-run this month.
The 86-year-old crashed his brown Maserati convertible into a parked Tesla. This happened near his home in Napa Valley, California.
He then left the scene, reports say. The Napa County Sheriff's Office recommended a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge.
The case was sent to the district attorney for review. Pelosi was not arrested at the scene.
A test reportedly ruled out alcohol use. Due to his age the sheriff's office also asked the DMV to recheck his driving fitness.
Pelosi previously pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DUI causing injury. That case came after a 2022 car crash.
He served jail time and probation for it. He also had to use an ignition interlock device. He paid restitution as well.
