Pope Leo XIV Arrives in Spain for Week Visit
Pope Leo XIV arrived in Spain on Saturday for a week-long visit. It is his first major visit to Europe as Pope.
He will meet with migrants during the trip. The visit covers Madrid, Barcelona and the Canary Islands.
In Barcelona he will open the completed Tower of Jesus Christ at the Sagrada Família. This makes it the tallest church in the world.
He will also meet with victims of clergy sexual abuse. He is set to be the first Pope to address Spain's parliament. Spain's far-right party Vox may oppose parts of his visit.
