Portugal Picks Centre-Left Leader in Landslide Vote

Seguro beat far-right rival André Ventura in a landslide. Exit polls showed Seguro got comfortably above two-thirds of votes.
He will serve a five-year term as president. Far-right parties are growing stronger across Europe.
Klear Note — Portugal's president is elected every five years. Far-right parties have been gaining support in many European countries recently.
