Premature Babies Return to Gaza Families
31 babies born too early were taken from al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Israeli forces had surrounded the hospital in November 2023.
28 of the babies were moved to Egypt for safety. Now the children have returned to their families in Gaza. Gaza has been at war for about two and a half years.
Klear Note — Gaza has faced conflict since October 2023. Hospitals were damaged during fighting. Premature babies need special care in incubators and medical equipment.
