Rat Poison Found in HiPP Baby Food
Rat poison was found in HiPP baby food jars in Austria. Police in Burgenland tested a 190g jar of HiPP carrots and potatoes baby food.
The jar tested positive for rat poison. HiPP then recalled jars from more than 1000 Spar supermarkets in Austria.
Contaminated jars were also found in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. HiPP is a Germany-based baby food company. HiPP said the jars were tampered with.
Klear Note — HiPP is a major baby food brand sold across Europe. Baby food safety is strictly regulated because infants are vulnerable to contamination.
