Rescued Humpback Whale Timmy Found Dead Near Denmark
A humpback whale named Timmy has been found dead. The whale washed up near the Danish island of Anholt on Thursday.
Divers confirmed it was the same whale rescued weeks earlier. Timmy had repeatedly got stuck off Germany's Baltic Sea coast.
Rescuers pulled the whale from a shallow bay near Wismar in Germany. They released Timmy on May 2 using a special barge.
The rescue was called both amazing and debated at the time. Timmy died two weeks after being set free.
