Rapper Rick Ross was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on Thursday. The charges involve domestic violence.
He was booked at Turner Guilford Knight correctional center. That happened at 6.10am local time on Thursday.
He faced one felony count of battery by strangulation. He also faced one misdemeanor count of battery.
Authorities said he was accused of beating his girlfriend. The alleged beating was at his Miami Beach home.
Days before the arrest his ex-girlfriend Jazzma Kendrick accused him of abuse. His bond was set at $6,000. His arraignment is scheduled for October 22.
