Romania Indicts Andrew Tate on Trafficking Charges
Andrew Tate is a social media influencer. Romanian prosecutors indicted him on Friday.
Charges include trafficking minors and money laundering. He was also charged with sex with a minor.
He faces a witness tampering charge too. His brother Tristan Tate was indicted for complicity.
Prosecutors linked Tristan's charge to the same case. The investigation began in Romania in December 2022.
An indictment is an accusation not a conviction. Under Romanian law a judge must review the case.
The judge checks the case for legality. Andrew Tate's lawyer said the defense would challenge evidence. The lawyer also plans to challenge legal procedures.
Klear Note — Complicity means prosecutors accuse Tristan of helping with alleged crimes.
