Rubio Says Iran War Ends in 2-4 Weeks
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the operation against Iran will end in 2 to 4 weeks. He said ground troops are not needed.
But the Pentagon is considering sending 10,000 extra troops to the region. Israel has threatened to expand its attacks against Iran.
Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz and threatened to charge ships to pass through. The G7 nations called for an immediate stop to attacks on civilians. After the war, the US wants allies to help police the strait.
Klear Note — The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman. About one-third of world's oil passes through it. Closing it disrupts global energy supplies and trade.
