Rubio Speaks to Congress as Iran Ceasefire Weakens
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke to Congress on June 2. It was his first public appearance before Congress since the Iran war began.
The main topic was Iran. Rubio said Iran has agreed to talk about nuclear issues it refused to discuss before.
He said he is hopeful about restarting nuclear talks with Iran. But he warned that progress is not a guarantee of a deal.
Meanwhile the ceasefire in the Iran war is shaky and looking increasingly in doubt. The regional conflict is getting worse.
Lawmakers are running out of patience. Iran peace talks are faltering.
Klear Note — The Iran war began recently. Nuclear talks between the US and Iran have stalled before. A ceasefire is a temporary stop to fighting.
