US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned of repercussions tied to Iran. He said a foreign actor was behind a plot at RAF Fairford.

RAF Fairford is a UK base used by US bombers. The base has helped US bombers during the Iran conflict.

Rubio made the comments on Fox News. He called the incident "very serious" but gave no details.

The US government said it saw evidence of foreign involvement. Iran denied any involvement in the incident.

No confirmed Iran link has been established. Reports say investigators are checking possible foreign-state involvement.

Five British men were arrested near the base. Three vans were reported near the base earlier.

Trump criticized the decision to release suspects on bail. The investigation was still ongoing. Some evacuated residents have returned home while others are hesitant.
