Russia Attacks Kyiv With Missiles Killing One

Russia launched a major missile attack on Kyiv, Ukraine. The attack lasted five hours.

It began with an air raid siren at 1:30am. About 40 Iskander-M and Zircon missiles were fired.

Reports say around 120 attack drones were also used. At least one person was killed.

Seven to eight people were injured according to early reports. Newer reports say 13 people were hurt.

This is a higher number than first stated. Officials called it one of the largest missile attacks of the war.

Ukraine's air defenses reportedly stopped or disabled 126 targets. A three-storey building caught fire during the attack.

Fires also broke out at a dormitory in the Dniprovskyi district. A house roof caught fire in the Sviatoshynskyi district. The attack added to damage already seen across the city.
