Russia Launches Huge Missile and Drone Attack on Ukraine

Russia fired 73 missiles and 656 drones at Ukraine overnight. Eight of the missiles were hypersonic Tsirkon missiles.

The main targets were Kyiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. At least 18 civilians were killed and more than 100 were wounded.

People were trapped under collapsed buildings after the strikes. Residents crowded into metro stations to escape the attack.

This was one of the largest attacks of the war. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy asked US President Trump to send Patriot missiles to Ukraine. Poland sent aircraft to protect its airspace during the assault.

Klear Note Russia and Ukraine have been at war since 2022. Hypersonic missiles travel faster than sound and are hard to stop. Ukraine relies on Western weapons to defend against Russian attacks.
