Russian Drone Hits Ukraine Security Headquarters Amid Stalled Talks
A Russian drone struck the headquarters of Ukraine's SBU security service. This happened in Kyiv on Friday.
The building sits on Volodymyrska Street opposite St.
Sophia Cathedral. The strike happened during Russia's 10th straight day of attacks on Kyiv.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia aimed the drone at the SBU chief's office. He ordered the SBU to deliver an "appropriate tangible response." Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga called the strike a "major escalation." Talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war have stalled.
Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner plan to visit Moscow on Saturday. They also plan to visit Kyiv on Sunday.
This would be their first visit to Kyiv. Trump-mediated talks paused in mid-February after the Iran war began.
Witkoff and Kushner have led Trump's diplomacy efforts for months. They have traveled to Moscow multiple times recently.
