Russian Missile Kills 24 in Kyiv Apartment Block
A Russian missile hit an apartment building in Kyiv, Ukraine. It killed 24 people including three children.
Another 48 people were wounded including two children. The missile struck a nine-story building.
Kyiv leaders declared Friday a day of mourning. National flags flew at half-mast across the city.
All entertainment events were cancelled or postponed. Residents brought flowers, stuffed animals and sweets to a memorial at the destroyed building.
Klear Note — Russia and Ukraine have been at war since 2022. Russian missiles regularly strike Ukrainian cities including the capital Kyiv. Apartment buildings are civilian targets, not military ones.
