Sandy Fire Forces 23,000 to Flee Near Los Angeles
A fire broke out Monday morning in Simi Valley, California. Simi Valley is about 20 to 30 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
The Sandy Fire has burned about 184 acres with 0% containment. High winds are helping it spread.
At least one home was damaged. More than 23,000 residents were ordered to leave.
Over 20,000 of those evacuation orders covered Simi Valley. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library was also evacuated due to the fire threat.
