Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan Sign Defense Pact
Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan signed a defense pact on Friday. Under the pact an attack on one country counts as an attack on all three.
Pakistan said an attack on any of the three would mean an attack on all. The pact did not explain what action the countries must take to defend each other.
So how the pact would work in practice remains unclear. The deal was signed during conflict in the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia has faced repeated attacks on its important infrastructure. As a result it is trying to build new security partnerships. This pact follows an earlier defense agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed in September 2025.
