Saudi Student Charged After Crossbow Attack on Staff
Almunthir Daqamah is a 21-year-old former student from Saudi Arabia. He studied at the University of Surrey in Guildford, England.
He was charged with attempted murder after a crossbow attack on Thursday. A campus safety officer was seriously injured in the attack.
The officer is now in stable condition in hospital. The attack happened at Manor Park Student Village at around 10am.
Police found a crossbow under a bench outside the building. Daqamah was detained at the scene shortly after.
Surrey Police say they are not looking for anyone else. He is due to appear in court on Friday.
