School Shooting Kills Six in Canada

The suspect was 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar. She killed her mother and stepbrother before the shooting.

Police had visited her home many times over concerns about her mental health and access to weapons. Canadian authorities took guns from her home two years ago but later returned them. Prime Minister Carney plans to visit Tumbler Ridge.

Klear Note School shootings are rare in Canada compared to the US. Canada has strict gun laws but mass shootings still happen occasionally.
