Second Suspect Arrested in Germany's Nord Stream Case
Croatian police arrested a second suspect in Pula, Croatia. The arrest came under a European warrant from Germany.
German prosecutors say he is a Ukrainian trained scuba diver. They suspect he helped cause explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines.
He is expected to be sent to Germany for trial. He will appear before a federal court judge there.
Prosecutors say he was part of a group. That group planted explosives on Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2. This happened near Denmark's Bornholm island in September 2022.
Klear Note — A European arrest warrant allows cross-border arrests between European countries.
