Serena Williams Quits Wimbledon Doubles After Knee Injury
Serena Williams has pulled out of the Wimbledon doubles event. She injured her right knee during her singles match on Tuesday.
That match was against Maya Joint and Serena lost. She had fluid drained from her knee after the match.
Serena had been playing doubles with her sister Venus. She announced the withdrawal on Instagram.
Serena is 44 years old. She had not played competitive tennis for nearly four years before returning to Wimbledon.
