Shooting at Trump Dinner Prompts Evacuation

A shooting happened at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday night. President Trump and Vice President JD Vance were evacuated.

Many other leaders were also evacuated after the shooting. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the gunman was believed to be targeting Trump.

He also said senior members of the government were targeted. Investigators are looking at anti-Trump feelings as a possible motive.

A document reportedly written by the suspect listed Trump leaders at the top of a target list. The suspect has been named as Cole Tomas Allen aged 31 from Torrance in California.

Sources say he was armed with a shotgun and a handgun and knives. He rushed a security checkpoint.
