Sick Whale Stranded Near German Coast

A humpback whale is stranded near Germany's Baltic coast. The whale is about 12 to 15 metres long.

It appears weakened and sick. The whale has become stuck on a sandbank multiple times.

Rescue teams have tried to help the whale escape. Experts worry the whale cannot find its way back. It may not reach the Atlantic Ocean.

Klear Note Humpback whales live in oceans and migrate long distances. The Baltic Sea is shallow and landlocked, making it dangerous for large whales.
