Sick Whale Stranded Near German Coast
A humpback whale is stranded near Germany's Baltic coast. The whale is about 12 to 15 metres long.
It appears weakened and sick. The whale has become stuck on a sandbank multiple times.
Rescue teams have tried to help the whale escape. Experts worry the whale cannot find its way back. It may not reach the Atlantic Ocean.
Klear Note — Humpback whales live in oceans and migrate long distances. The Baltic Sea is shallow and landlocked, making it dangerous for large whales.
