Slovenia Votes in Key Election
Slovenia held a vote on Sunday. Robert Golob is the current Prime Minister.
He leads the centre-left Freedom Movement party. Former Prime Minister Janez Jansa challenged him.
Jansa leads the right-wing SDS party. Neither leader was likely to win a majority.
The campaign included negative claims about Roma people. The result was expected to impact the European Union.
Klear Note — Slovenia is a European Union country. Parliamentary elections happen every four years. No single party winning means coalition talks needed.
