South Carolina Republicans to Pick Graham Successor Tuesday
South Carolina Republicans vote on Tuesday August 11. They will pick a nominee for November's election.
The nominee will replace the late Senator Lindsey Graham. Ten candidates are running in the primary.
If no candidate wins a majority a runoff happens August 25. Darline Graham is Lindsey Graham's sister.
Governor Henry McMaster appointed her to fill the seat temporarily. President Trump has endorsed her.
She says she will forge her own path in the Senate. She also wants to carry on her brother's legacy.
Her campaign message focuses on families' struggles. She mentions gas prices, groceries and healthcare costs.
