Spanish PM's Wife Charged With Corruption
Begoña Gómez has been charged with corruption in Spain. She is the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
Gómez held no official role in government. Investigators checked if she gained money by being the PM's wife.
The probe started in 2024. Charges came on April 13, 2026.
Both Gómez and Sánchez deny the charges. This puts more pressure on Sánchez's minority government.
