Storms Delay Over 900 Flights at London Airports

Thunderstorms have delayed over 900 flights at London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Passengers were stuck on grounded planes in very hot conditions.

The storms hit overnight after two days of temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius. The UK and much of Europe had seen record-breaking heat before the storms. Bad weather also disrupted flights at other airports across Europe.

Klear Note Thunderstorms often disrupt flights by reducing visibility and creating unsafe landing conditions. London's Heathrow and Gatwick are Europe's busiest airports, serving millions of passengers yearly.
