Sturgeon Feels Punished After Husband's Guilty Plea
Nicola Sturgeon was Scotland's top leader until recently. Her husband Peter Murrell pleaded guilty on 25 May 2026 to stealing over £400,000 from the Scottish National Party.
He used the money to buy a motorhome and luxury goods. Murrell was held in custody after his plea.
Sturgeon said she did not know about the motorhome. She denied any responsibility for his actions. Sturgeon said she feels like she is serving a sentence for a crime she did not commit.
