Supreme Court Blocks Trump's Tariffs
The United States Supreme Court struck down Trump's global tariffs. The vote was 6 to 3.
The court said Trump went beyond his power. A 1977 emergency powers law does not allow this.
Trump called the ruling a disgrace. Stock prices jumped after the decision.
United States yields also rose. The dollar fell in value.
Klear Note — Tariffs are taxes on goods from other countries. Trump used an emergency law from 1977 to impose them. The Supreme Court said he broke the law's limits.
