Three Rescued Alive in Nepal After Deadly Flood

A Chinese national was rescued alive in Nepal on Saturday. This happened 10 days after a deadly flash flood.

He was found trapped inside a tunnel. Two more people were rescued alive the same day.

One was an electric worker found in another tunnel. The other was a woman trapped inside her house.

The worker was the third person rescued from the project. It is called the Trishuli hydropower project.

Two Nepali workers from the same project were rescued Friday. The flood happened on August 26th.

It sent a wall of ice, rock and mud through the valley. The flood killed more than 1,300 people.

Sources say it was likely caused by a glacier collapse. More than 5,000 people remained missing.

Rescue teams came from India, China, South Korea and the United States. They searched damaged tunnels and debris for survivors.
