Trump and Iran Trade Threats
US President Donald Trump threatened to destroy Iran's power plants. He gave Iran 48 hours to fully open the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran responded with its own threat. Iran said it will permanently destroy water and energy systems across the Middle East.
These systems are vital to the region. Iran made this threat if Trump follows through on his plan.
Klear Note — The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman. About one-third of world's oil passes through it daily. Iran controls one side, so it can block or restrict shipping.
