Trump and New York Mayor to Attend Knicks Game
President Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani plan to attend Monday's Knicks game. The game is NBA Finals Game 3 at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks lead the series 2-0 against the Spurs. Strict security will be in place across Midtown Manhattan.
Trump's attendance led to the cancellation of the usual outdoor watch party near the arena. Alternative watch parties were set up at Bryant Park, Wollman Rink and Brooklyn Bowl.
Mayor Mamdani bought a standing-room-only ticket for about $1,000 from his own money. He plans to sit far from Trump.
Ticket prices reached almost $10,000 at one point. But prices then dropped 50%.
Klear Note — The NBA Finals is basketball's championship series. The Knicks are New York's professional basketball team. Madison Square Garden is their home arena in Manhattan.
