Trump Bans CNN, MS NOW and Politico From White House
President Trump said he is banning three news outlets. He announced this on Truth Social on Friday.
The banned outlets are CNN, MS NOW and Politico. MS NOW was formerly called MSNBC.
Trump said the ban starts effective immediately. He called the outlets fake news.
Trump said they should not spread fiction and lies. He blamed the ban on unfavorable coverage of him.
Trump did not explain how the ban will work. He warned other news outlets could also be banned.
The ban is part of Trump's ongoing conflict with news organizations. CBS reported on this conflict. His administration earlier disputed White House access for the Associated Press.
Klear Note — White House access allows reporters to attend briefings and cover government activity. The administration previously disputed access for the Associated Press.
