Trump Boards Qatari Jet in England to Fly Home
Trump boarded a jet gifted by Qatar at Mildenhall air base in England. He is flying back to Washington on it.
Trump had used the Qatari jet to fly to the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey. Then he switched to the older Air Force One for the flight to England.
Trump said he wanted to fly the older plane for nostalgic reasons. After landing in England he switched back to the Qatari jet.
Trump said the Qatari jet would also stop at a US base in England. US military members will be able to tour it there.
The aircraft swap drew security attention. Reports say the Qatari jet may lack some missile detection systems that the older Air Force One has.
