Trump Pays Carroll $5.6 Million After Appeals Fail

President Trump has paid E. Jean Carroll $5.6 million. The exact amount was $5,625,005.48.

A federal judge ordered the payment last month. This happened after Trump ran out of appeals.

The Supreme Court had unanimously refused to pause the payment. The money was sent to Carroll's lawyer on July 9 2026.

Carroll's lawyer Roberta Kaplan confirmed she received the payment. Trump's team has called the case a hoax.

A federal jury found Trump liable for sexually assaulting and defaming Carroll. That verdict came in May 2023.

The payment came more than three years later. Trump had tried many times to delay paying.

He can still ask the Supreme Court to reconsider its refusal. A separate case involving $83.3 million owed to Carroll is still unresolved.

That case came from a jury verdict in January 2024. Trump is still appealing that case at a lower court.

Klear Note Carroll sued Trump for sexual assault and defamation. A jury found him liable in 2023. Trump tried multiple appeals to avoid paying.
