Trump Praises Beijing Summit After Xi Taiwan Warning
President Trump met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Thursday. The meeting was part of a two-day summit.
They held a closed-door talk lasting more than two hours. Xi warned Trump that mistakes on Taiwan could push both countries into conflict.
Xi called Taiwan the most important issue between China and the United States. They also discussed trade, Iran, AI and rare earths.
After the talks Trump and Xi visited Beijing's Temple of Heaven. Then they attended a state banquet together.
At the banquet both leaders stressed the importance of working together. Trump called the talks extremely positive and productive. Trump also invited Xi to visit the White House in September.
