Trump Rejects Iran Peace Response as Unacceptable
President Trump has rejected Iran's response to a US peace proposal. He called it "totally unacceptable." Iran had asked the US to recognize its control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran also asked for payment for war damages and declined US demands about nuclear weapons. Iran warned it would strike back against any new US attacks.
It also warned against foreign warships entering the Strait of Hormuz. Turkey's foreign minister Hakan Fidan will visit Qatar for talks.
