Twin Earthquakes Kill Over 900 in Venezuela
Two earthquakes struck northern Venezuela on June 24 2026. They hit 39 seconds apart and killed more than 900 people.
The quakes measured 7.2 and 7.5 in strength. They hit near San Felipe in Yaracuy state.
Over 3,360 people were injured. More than 50,000 people have been reported missing.
Many remain trapped in collapsed homes and buildings. People dug through rubble searching for survivors.
International rescue teams joined the search on Saturday. Venezuela entered its third day after the quakes.
