Two Arrested After London Synagogue Arson
Two teenagers were arrested in connection with a synagogue arson attack in northwest London. The two are a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man.
Someone threw a bottle of accelerant at the synagogue in Harrow. The attack caused minor smoke damage but no injuries.
Counter Terrorism Police are leading the investigation. Metropolitan Police are also looking into claims that antisemitic attacks across the United Kingdom are linked to Iranian-backed sources.
Reports say the attack is part of a wave of at least five arson attacks on Jewish-linked buildings in London since March 23 2026. Sources say a group called Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia has claimed the attacks online.
The group has also reportedly targeted Jewish and Israeli-linked sites across Europe. Jewish leaders have said they are concerned about the wave of attacks on their community.
